About Kiseki

The word ”Ki-seki” means miracle. I like to believe discarded clay can be re-used as slip to help patch up pieces to create this organic shape. Instead of naming it “Kiseki Ceramics” or “Kiseki Pottery”, I wanted a shorter, more playful name, so I decided on “Clay” as the first option. Thus, I chose the name “Kiseki Clay.”

From the moment my hands first touched stone slab clay at eight years old, I knew there was something special about working with my hands. Growing up with a deep passion for the arts, I eagerly joined my school’s Art Club, immersing myself in various creative forms. My teachers quickly recognised my natural affinity for clay building and encouraged me to explore ceramics further. That pivotal moment shaped my artistic journey.

Each piece I create carries the essence of my journey—shaped by years of hands-on exploration and an enduring love for the medium. As I continue evolving in my practice, I seek to capture the harmony between tradition and personal expression in every work I produce.
